Appeal after collision between motorcycle and Ferrari

At about 7:50am this morning, Monday 25th July 2016, a two vehicle serious injury road traffic collision occurred on the A3 Ballamodha Straight in the between Silverdale Road and Phildraw Road.

The circumstances are that a Suzuki motorcycle travelling from Foxdale towards Ballasalla has lost control and collided with a Ferrari motor car travelling in the same direction.

The rider of the Suzuki motorcycle, a 39 year old man from Peel, was treated for his injuries at the scene, and has been flown to the UK for further treatment.

The driver of the car, a man from Ballasalla was unhurt.

The road was closed for several hours, whilst collision investigation was carried out.

Inspector Dave Dobbie, who is the senior investigating officer said; “Investigations are continuing into this morning’s incident. If anybody that has not already been spoken to by the police, who has either witnessed the collision or has information in relation to it, to please get in touch with PC Pam Robinson, Southern NPT on 01624 832222”
