Open data camp to explore digital developments

An event exploring the latest developments in open data and digital engagement will be held at the Tynwald Library in Douglas on Saturday.

A panel of local and international speakers will provide an insight into progress that will help to shape the future of the digital economy and Government transparency.

Participants will have an opportunity to attend themed sessions on issues such as blockchain technology and governance, take part in group discussions and exchange ideas and information.

The open data camp is being hosted by the British Computer Society, in conjunction with the Isle of Man Government and UKGovCamp. It is free to attend and anyone interested can register by visiting the Eventbrite website.

Doors open at 9.30am and the event will be launched at 10am by Graeme Jones, Chair of the Isle of Man branch of the British Computer Society, and John Shimmin MHK, Minister for Policy and Reform
