Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann donates ?9,805 to charity

Every Year the Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann makes donations to a number of international, UK and local good causes following fundraising activities by the members which take place throughout the Year including: supporting World Tin Bath Championships, Deep South Festival and many more events organised within the Club to raise these valuable funds.

Year ending June 2016 was no exception with a total of ?9,805 going to support various worthy charities including locally: Hyperbaric Chamber, Beach Buddies, Rushen Batton Twirlers and Internationally: Friends of Chernobyl Children, Worldwaterworks, Sand Dams and of course Rotary Foundation in support of Polio Plus.

Retiring President Terry Clare commented ‘it is great that we were so busy with events to raise funds for our charity and to promote Rotary in the community making so many donations to worthy causes’.
