Peel RNLI lifeboat launched to assist cruiser

Peel all weather lifeboat Ruby Clery was launched yesterday (15/08) at 2-45pm. to assist a local cruiser with engine problems 11.6 miles NW off Peel.

The cruiser was on passage from Bangor to its home port of Peel when it experienced fuel problems NW off Peel. The lifeboat under the command of coxswain Chris Kelly with his volunteer crew quickly found the cruiser and took it under tow arriving back in Peel at 5-45pm. The crew of the cruiser were safe and well.

Ruby Clery was refuelled and returned to service.
