Claire Christian, of luxury womens' wear brand Claire Christian Couture, will chair a panel of up and coming designers on Thursday 18 August from 5pm, as part of MakeMarket: A Creative Industries Takeover.
Bethany Williams, Alice Fayle and Lisa Angwin, who all grew up on the Island and have gone on to make their mark in this competitive industry, will give short presentations and then take part in a Q&A session which will appeal to anyone interested in following in their footsteps, or who has a general interest in fashion and textile design.
The following day (Friday) an informal drop-in event, ‘Fashion in Focus – Interactive Demos and Displays’ will take place from 1pm. Bethany, Alice and Lisa – along with a number of fashion students from the Island – will be on hand to share their experiences and demonstrate their techniques, as well as display their most recent collections and work.
There is no charge for these events.
