The Mayor and mayoress of Douglas John and Gill Skinner have welcomed the former leader of the Roman Catholic Church in the Isle of Man Canon Philip Gillespie to Douglas town hall, where he was joined by Father Brian Dougherty.
In 2015 Canon Gillespie left the Island to take up his appointment as Rector of the Pontifical Beda College in Rome.
