The Beauty Bar chooses MiQuando over telephones

by isleofman.com 25th August 2016
A new business has ditched telephones in favour of online booking with miquando.com to enhance the customer experience in its Douglas salon.

The Beauty Bar, which opened in July, doesn’t want customers’ treatments to be interrupted by calls, so simply doesn’t have a phone at its Nelson Street base.

Instead of calling, customers can pop online to check availability and book appointments through MiQuando. Not only does that help maintain The Beauty Bar’s unique atmosphere, it also makes managing appointments much easier for staff and means customers can book whenever they choose, day or night.

The talented team of professionals at the Beauty Bar, sister company to The Lonan Spa and Euphoria Beautique, offers a range of brow, make-up and facial services, and with no phone to answer can give customers undivided attention.

Manager Katherine Mather said: ‘At The Beauty Bar we want to give customers a wonderful experience where we are fully focused on them and they can enjoy the atmosphere. We don’t want to interrupt our customer’s experience by having to answer the phone, that’s why we only take bookings online and in person.

She added: ‘But that’s not the only reason. Online booking is absolutely essential for businesses like ours nowadays, as people expect to be able to make appointments on the web. They want the convenience of checking availability and booking at a time that suits them, day or night, not just when we are open. Also, many of our customers have busy lives and want to make an appointment quickly and simply without having to pick up the phone, especially if they are making the booking from work.

‘The other advantage is that using MiQuando’s online makes managing bookings easy for the team. There’s no more paper diaries, scribbled notes and accidental double-booking, we just log in and can quickly and simply manage the diary.’

Katherine concluded: ‘We’re delighted we picked MiQuando to work with as they have been brilliant. They’ve delivered exactly what we wanted and if we have an idea about our online booking they are always enthusiastic and keen to enhance the service.’

You can book an appointment at The Beauty Bar by going to www.thebeautybar.im and using the MiQuando widget, or by searching www.miquando.com.

MiQuando Director Nigel Jones said: ‘We are pleased to see more and more businesses offering online booking and choosing MiQuando to provide the service. It is increasingly becoming an expectation among customers, so if you don’t offer it you could be missing out on business.

‘We are constantly developing miquando.com to make it even easier for business and customers to use, and are always happy to provide exactly the booking service the client wants. For example, when you view The Beauty Bar’s online diary you can not only see what times and dates are available and book an appointment, you can even choose the service you want and which team member you want to see using the simple dropdown function.

‘We’re delighted to welcome The Beauty Bar to MiQuando and look forward to working with them for many years to come.’
