Robinson’s achieve Bronze Award for Disability Awareness

Robinson’s, Cooil Road have taken the first step to gain public recognition as an organisation that considers, cares for and is proactive in making the Isle of Man more accessible. Pictured receiving their award from Annette Pinhorn, Tiered Award Lead is Tony Wilson-Spratt, Janna Horsthuis and John Horsthuis of Robinson’s.

The Tiered Award Scheme is a voluntary quality award mark for businesses and service providers. It is designed to encourage businesses to become disability smart and consider equal access.

The award is free of charge and open to any business or organisation.

Crossroads is a local charity that provides care and respite services to anyone looking after a loved one or family member with a disability, frailty or illness. Projects include a fully inclusive nursery for children with additional needs, a holiday scheme for children with disabilities, social clubs for teenagers and adults with a range of needs, a home care respite service and an employability project.
