Requests for Information

The Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for information following a report of an Assault on a taxi driver, in Peel road Douglas.

Between 03:00 and 03:30 on Sunday 11th September 2016 a Taxi collected two males and a female from Athol Street, Douglas. They were driven to Peel Road, Douglas stopping outside the entrance to Euro-Cars. Once the vehicle had stopped, the male passenger got out of the vehicle and proceeded to assault the taxi driver. At this point it is believed that a silver vehicle stopped in front of the taxi whilst the assault was occurring.

Police would like to talk to this male, the other persons within the taxi, and the occupants of the silver vehicle.

Police Constable 49 Creer is investigating damage to a motor vehicle which occurred between 9PM on Wednesday the 7th September and 8AM on Thursday the 8th September 2016 on Springfield Avenue, Douglas near to the junction with Springfield Road. The electric wing mirror of the vehicle was forced backwards and marks were left on the body of the car. A large group of young persons were in the area at the time that may have some information regarding the damage. If anybody has any information regarding this can they contact Police Constable 49 Creer on 01624 631212.
