Co-op divvies up in support of Ramsey Town Commissioners

by isleofman.com 12th September 2016

The Co-operative has donated ?200 to Ramsey Town Commissioners in celebration of the completed refurbishment of its Christian Street, Ramsey store.

Ramsey Town Commissioners’ chairman Lawrie Hooper said: ‘We’re very grateful to the Co-operative for this generous donation, which will be used to buy plants for two circular planters we have installed on the Mooragh amenity site, and will complement the magnificent floral displays in Mooragh Park created by our hard-working parks department.

‘We applaud the investment the Co-op has made in the town; it is a welcome additional boost to the Commission’s drive to regenerate Ramsey in collaboration with government. This partnership approach between the Commissioners and the local businesses is doing much to cement that strong sense of community which distinguishes our town and reinforce a clear “open for business” message.’
