Farmhouse lease advertised

by isleofman.com 15th September 2016
The lease of a remote farmhouse is being advertised by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA).

The Department is letting Arrasey Farmhouse for recreational use and not for ongoing overnight habitation from October 2016.

The farmhouse is located in Arrasey Plantation, Glen Rushen, and is accessed via the forest road.

Accommodation comprises a porch, living room and kitchen area with toilet and storage on the ground floor and a bedroom and large store upstairs. The lessee will also have shared use of a surrounding plot of land.

There are no mains services within the cottage. The Department provides a generator to supply power and previous tenants have used a pump to abstract non-potable water from a well.

For an information pack and/or to arrange a viewing, contact Oliver O’Meara, Deputy Estates Manager, on oliver.o’meara@gov.im or ring 01624 695707 by 22nd September 2016.

Tenders must be submitted to the Department by noon on 26th September 2016.
