Bat Walk in Laxey

by isleofman.com 22nd September 2016

The last bat walk of the season will take place in Laxey on Saturday 24th September. Meeting at Brown’s Terrace at 7pm there will be an introductory talk on bats and how they are able to fly and hunt in the dark, before setting off with detectors (& hi-viz vests, both available for loan) around Laxey listening and looking for bats. 3 or 4 species of bat have been seen in Laxey on previous occasions so it should be a good night, weather permitting.

The bat walk is free of charge and open to everyone although children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
