Officers from the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating an alleged assault at the Broadway entrance to the Villa Gaiety, Douglas.
The incident occurred at about 1250 hours on Saturday 24th September 2016 and it involved two males who were stood by the entrance to the gate. A male has subsequently been arrested.

Police are investigating a burglary at a House on Annacur Lane in Douglas. The home owner attended the house at approximately midday yesterday (Sunday 25th September 2016) and saw a blue coloured Renault Clio on the drive way with two men within it. The driver is described as having brown sandy hair and in his 30’s.
Upon entering the property the homeowner was met by two further men, the first man is described as having ginger facial hair and facial acne scars, he was around 5”7 tall wearing a grey woolly hat and a grey hoodie. The second man in the house is described as taller and was wearing dark coloured clothing. These men are believed to be in their 20’s.
Detective Constable Lana Gardner said “The house itself is unoccupied and has the appearance of being derelict but this is not the case and items some of which were of sentimental value had been gathered together before they were disturbed by the owner of the property. I’m appealing for anyone who was in the area at midday on Sunday and who may have seen the blue Renault Clio or the men described to get in touch.

At 12.35pm on Monday 26th of September 2016 Police, Fire and ambulance services attended a three vehicle collision on the main Ramsey to Sulby Road (TT course), at Churchtown, Lezayre.
The driver of one of the cars involved, a 79yr old woman from the north of the Island died at the scene of the collision, the front seat passenger from that vehicle was seriously hurt, and later died at hospital. The driver of the 2nd vehicle, a 68yr old woman also from the north of the Island was seriously injured and was taken to Noble’s hospital, where she remains, undergoing treatment. The third vehicle involved was driven by a 66yr old woman, also a resident of the north of the Island. She was unhurt and returned home after being examined at scene by paramedics.
The road remained closed to traffic until about 6.10pm whilst the scene was investigated, and then swept by DOI. Diversions were put in place, and extra patrols were deployed to deal with the anticipated congestion.
This collision is being investigated by officers led by Sergeant Lapsley of the Roads Policing Unit.
Any witnesses to the collision, who have not yet spoken to officers are asked to get in touch with Police on 631212.
