Update on Fatal Road Traffic Collision at Lezayre

Further to the Fatal Road Traffic Collision at Lezayre, which occurred about 12:30 on Monday 26 September 2016, the victims have today been named as Daphne and James Tait. They were an elderly married couple from Jurby, and were both travelling in the same vehicle.

Inspector Derek Flint, who is the Senior Investigating Officer overseeing the inquiry said; “Our thoughts are very much with Mr and Mrs Tait’s family at this difficult time. We are progressing well with our inquiries and would again appeal for anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision to contact us here at the Roads Policing Unit. The vehicles involved were a Silver Honda Jazz, a black VW Golf and a grey Peugeot 3008. If you witnessed the collision, or indeed noted any such vehicles on the road around that time, we’d very much like to hear from you. Please ring the main HQ number of 631212.”
