Incident on Mona Street

At approximately 10.45pm on Friday 7th October 2016, Officers from the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team attended an incident within a property on Mona Street, Douglas. Upon their attendance they located a male with serious injuries. Paramedics attended the scene and the male was subsequently treated at Nobles Hospital. His injuries, although serious are not now life threatening.

A 30 year old man from Douglas was later arrested and has since been charged with an offence of Wounding with Intent to commit grievous bodily harm. This male will appear at Douglas Courthouse on Monday 10th October 2016.

Police would like to thank those who assisted with the incident and request anyone who may have information to contact them at Douglas Police Headquarters on 631212.
