Leading trust, fund, real estate and corporate services provider, First Names Group has donated ?350 to local island charity Housing Matters. Employees from the Group also generously contributed food, toiletries and kitchen supplies to help people and families on the island who are homeless.
Housing Matters was established in 2007 and was set up to provide advice, guidance and support to people in housing crisis. The charity is closely aligned to First Names Group’s philosophy that ‘people matter’.
Housing Matters was selected by employees at First Names Group as the charity of the month they would like to support. The 200 ‘First Names’ based in the Group’s Douglas office, used their monthly dress down collection to raise funds and donate supplies for the local charity which helps people and families who are struggling financially and with homelessness.
Arthur Torin, Senior Housing Advisor at Housing Matters commented;
“The complex situations that our clients experience are varied and can include but are not restricted to street homelessness, substandard accommodation, victims of domestic abuse. The donation and supplies First Names Group has contributed will really make a difference to the people House Matters supports through difficult times in their lives.”
