At about 5.20pm on Thursday 20th October 2016 there was an incident on the quayside in Castletown, this resulted in damage being caused to the windscreens of two marked Police cars and two marked Police vans, which were parked in the police bays adjacent to Castletown Police station. A 22yr old Castletown man was arrested in the vicinity.

The man has subsequently been charged with 4 charges of criminal damage and a s.3 public order charge.

The man appeared at court on Friday and has been remanded in custody, until 29th of November 2016.

Inspector Andy Kneen would say “Officers spoke with and obtained details of a number of witnesses at the time, but would still like to hear from anyone who was in the area, who has not yet spoken with us. If you can help us please call 631212”.

The officer in case is PC Anne Tyler.

Officers at Ramsey Police Station report that at about 10pm on Friday 21st October a series of events occurred in Old River Road and North Shore Road, Ramsey during which two persons were assaulted.  It is believed that an adult couple were in the Old River Road area at the start of the incident and were walking towards the Swing Bridge.  It is possible that they may have been threatened and or had verbal abuse shouted at them.  Constable Mark Kerruish appealed for the couple and anyone else who may have witnessed any part of the incidents to contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234
