Remember. Remember. Ramsey fireworks display 5th November

by isleofman.com 24th October 2016
Ramsey Town Commissioners will hold their fireworks display on the Mooragh Lake island on Saturday November 5.

The display, which will be accompanied by music, is due to start at 7.30pm and will be preceded by a lights and laser show on the lake lasting about one hour, with the best views of all the action to be had from the vicinity of the Mooragh Park’s Lakeside Centre.

Ramsey Town Commissioners’ chairman Andy Cowie said: ‘Ramsey’s fireworks spectacular always draws the crowds, not only local residents but also people from all over the island. Thanks to the magnificent setting of Mooragh Park with its dramatic reflections and the superb organisation by the Commission’s workforce this will be a community event without equal, providing families with safe and secure surroundings from which to enjoy the display with ample parking and easy access.’

Concessions will be open for refreshments and parking will be provided on the Mooragh amenity car park, the Vollan area and on the promenade, while pedestrians are asked to use the Ballacloan Road entrance to the park as the Grove Mount and Windsor Mount paths will be closed.

In the interests of safety and animal wellbeing spectators are asked not to bring their own fireworks or be accompanied by their dogs.
