Infrastructure Minister announces Department delegations

Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer MHK announced on Wednesday the delegation of Department duties to his newly appointed political Members.

Tim Baker MHK will take on responsibility for Ports, supporting efforts to secure the Isle of Man’s lifeline sea and air links.

The Transport Services division, which encompasses Bus Vannin and the Island’s heritage railways, will be the responsibility of Jason Moorhouse MHK.

Julie Edge MHK will have delegated authority for Estates and for Housing, while former Transport Minister David Anderson MLC will take on responsibility for Highways.

Minister Harmer said: ‘The Department provides a range of important services that contribute towards the general wellbeing and economic strength of the Isle of Man. The team at Infrastructure represents a good mix of experience and fresh thinking and I am confident we can work together with the professional and dedicated group of officers at the Department for the benefit of the people of our Island.’
