Two housing officers with Ramsey Town Commissioners have been awarded Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 3 in Housing Practice certificates.
Housing officer for Ramsey Northern District Housing Committee Jane Foster and Ramsey Town Commissioners’ housing officer Anne-Marie (Tilly) Goodall received their certificates from the Commission’s chairman Andy Cowie.
Jane Foster said: ‘The Level 3 course was very useful. It enhanced our skills so we can deliver a better service to our clients and provided updates on legislation and policy. The course was also valuable in that we’ve been able to share our findings with our housing colleagues which, in turn, will help to strengthen the team, every one of whom brings different skills to the service.’
Anne-Marie Goodall said: ‘I found the course very informative. It helps to give you added confidence when dealing with tenants, especially in incidences of antisocial behaviour. It also examined the practice of tenant representation and offered valuable insights into the latest equality and diversity legislation. Both Jane and I found that what we’d learned from the course not only prompted useful discussions within the team but will help to shape the service we provide to our clients, which is of paramount importance.’
Ramey Town Commissioners’ chairman Andy Cowie said: ‘We're very proud of the achievements of both Tilly and Jane. They have both put in a tremendous amount of effort and demonstrated great dedication to gain these prestigious national qualifications. The team at Ramsey Town Commissioners are our greatest asset and these results demonstrate the outstanding commitment of the staff to improve the service we provide for our residents. We look forward to Tilly and Jane continuing to develop their professional skills.’
