‘Breastfeeding Buddies’ moves to bigger venue to meet demand

by isleofman.com 10th November 2016

The Isle of Man’s breastfeeding drop-in advice and support service ‘Breastfeeding Buddies’, which the Department of Health and Social Care runs, is moving to Centre 21 on Greenfields Road in Douglas from Tuesday 15 November.

Growing popularity amongst mums means that the Health Visiting Team has had to find a larger venue for the service, moving from its current home at the Village Walk in Onchan.

The aim of ‘Breastfeeding Buddies’ is to provide a relaxed atmosphere for mums to come and share their experiences, pick up tips from other mums, and celebrate their individual breastfeeding stories.

The change in venue also sees a change in the day of the week the group runs, moving from a Monday to a Tuesday, but the time remains unchanged: 11am - 12.30pm.

All are welcome and anyone who would like more information can contact Nicole Hara by telephone on 656030 or email on nicole.hara@gov.im.
