Free Train and Tram Travel Committee (Petition for Redress) – Oral Evidence

The Select Committee on Free Train and Tram Travel (Petition for Redress) intends to hear oral evidence in public from the petitioner, Ms Carol Quine, at 2.30pm on Thursday 24th November 2016.

The evidence will be taken in public in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road Douglas. Members of the public are welcome to attend or to listen via the audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.

The Committee was established by Tynwald on Tuesday 18th October 2016 with a remit to consider and report to Tynwald on the Petition for Redress of Carol Quine, Lynn Sirdefield and Richard Halsall presented at St John’s on 7th July 2016 in relation to free train and tram travel for residents over retirement age. The members elected to the Committee by Tynwald are Mr Bill Shimmins MHK, Mr Rob Callister MHK and Ms Julie Edge MHK. The Committee has elected Mr Bill Shimmins as its Chair.
