Appeal after man assaulted on Peel Road

Police are investigating an assault that occurred at approximately 4am on Sunday 20th November 2016. The incident happened on Peel Road, Douglas, nearby the bottom junction of Belmont Hill.

At this time a group of males assaulted another male who was walking along the road with friends.  Although the road was quiet at the time the Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have also been in the area, or anybody who may have been driving on the road at that time. Following the assault, it is believed that the attackers ran from the area in the direction towards McDonalds.

Anybody who may have witnessed any part of this incident, or with any information, is urged to contact PC 312 Gemma Berry at Douglas Police Headquarters.
