Ahead of this year’s Douglas Remembrance Sunday service the Mayor and mayoress of Douglas, John and Gill Skinner, hosted a reception at Douglas town hall for visiting service personnel at which Major Terry Riley, Royal Artillery 12 (Minden) Air Assault Battery presented them with a print of the painting Captain F Macbeans Company, 1st Battalion, Royal Artillery at the Battle of Minden, August 1, 1759, by David Rowlands in recognition of their welcoming and hosting the artillery detachments for Tynwald Day and Remembrance Sunday.
