Isle of Man Post Office is delighted to once again exhibit at this year’s Save the Children’s annual Festival of Trees event at Ronaldsway Airport. This year the Post Office has chosen to depict a scene with a twist from one of the best-known stories in American literature, The Wizard of Oz. The festival which was opened on 25 November runs until 6th January 2017 with the winners announced shortly after.

The Post Office's display recreates an iconic scene from the fantasy world of Oz, and the theme links with this year’s recently released Christmas panto stamps which include an image for The Wizard of Oz and the 2016 Christmas panto. The display includes a depiction of the famous yellow brick road leading to the Emerald City, Toto the dog, and of course Dorothy’s ruby red slippers.

Isle of Man Post Office Sponsorship Committee Chairman Sarah Read, said: "The Isle of Man Post Office is pleased to continue to support Save the Children's annual Festival of Trees event, an important initiative that helps raise funds for the charity that supports vulnerable children in the UK and elsewhere.”

Passengers travelling through the airport between now and 6th January will be able to view a wide variety of exhibits on display including the Isle of Man Post Office’s and vote for their favourite!

The Isle of Man Post Office Sponsorship Committee aims to support a variety of local initiatives throughout the year and is always keen to hear from individuals and organisations looking for support which it may be able to help with.
