Get into the festive spirit at charity Christmas Craft-a-Noon

by isleofman.com 6th December 2016

Manx Blind Welfare Society is hosting a Christmas Craft-a-noon to help you get into the festive spirit.

The free event, from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, 18th December, will be a chance to make cards and decorations, enjoy some refreshments and even meet Father Christmas when he pops in.

Manx Blind Welfare Society Social Activities Officer Stacey Menton said: ‘We’d like to welcome everyone, young and old, to join our Christmas Craft-a-noon and try out making festive cards and decorations. A handmade card is extra special to receive, and creating your own decorations can add a really personal touch to Christmas displays.

‘This time of year is all about spending time together and we’re looking forward to welcoming people from around the Island to share the festive fun. We’ve already had one confirmation; Santa himself has promised to call in at 2pm!’

She added: ‘All the activities and refreshments are free, but we’d welcome any donations to help Manx Blind Welfare Society continue to provide giving vital services and support to blind and visually impaired people all over the Isle of Man.’

The Christmas Craft-a-noon is at the Society’s headquarters, Corrin Court in Heywood Avenue, Onchan, next to Bemahague School.

There’s no need to book, but to help with planning please call Stacy on 674727 if you’re thinking of attending.
