An inspiring yoga workshop took place in Central Douglas last Saturday to raise funds for the local charity.
Douglas yoga teacher Inspired Yogi Dyana Carrins joined forces with a Kundalini yoga teacher from Ireland Jiwan Deva Anne Claffey to bring a 3 hour workshop to the local yoga enthusiasts. 3 hours flew by leaving all 19 yogis refreshed, rejuvenated and ready for the festive season. The event which took place in the local dance studio Move it, also raised awareness for the SUN charity which works with users of Mental Health Services on the Island.
Inspired Yogi Dyana Carrins said: ‘’We are delighted to bring this kind of yoga experience around Christmas time, as it is particularly now that many start to feel under pressure with work & family commitments. There is no better way to find peace than to carve out some time for yourself and yoga helps you do exactly that. ’’
More than GBP 70.00 was raised on the day from the proceeds of the workshop and donations - all will go towards the worthwhile cause.
If you missed a chance to attend the event this time around, look out for more yoga workshops happening in 2017 or visit www.inspiredyogiblog.com for more details.
