Curraghs Wildlife Park open for half term

by isleofman.com 2nd February 2017

The Curragh’s Wildlife Park is extending its normal half term opening by a week to encourage visitors from the UK, where school holidays differ.

Kathleen Graham, Park General Manager, said: ‘Some schools in the UK have their half term break the week commencing Monday 13th February and families do visit the Island, so we will open all of that week from 10am to 4pm instead of just the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

‘We will also be open all week from 10am to 4pm during Manx half term, commencing 20th February.

‘All the usual attractions are open and it’s a chance to see the park when it’s less busy and to see how our newest arrivals, including the silvery gibbons, are settling in.’

The Park, in Ballaugh, is home to 75 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and invertebrates. It is open daily from 10am to 5pm from April to October and last year attracted 55,000 visitors.
