Screening of award-winning documentary "A Mindful Choice"

by isleofman.com 6th February 2017

Peel Centenary Centre is hosting the Island’s debut screening of the award winning documentary, ‘A Mindful Choice’ on Friday 10th February at 7.30pm. With stunning cinematography combined with the power of people sharing from a profound place of peace, the film promises to deliver a palpable and moving experience.

A Mindful Choice plants a seed of possibility for personal and social change on a global level - could we all live harmoniously with each other and the planet? Could this happen, with a shift in consciousness, with each of us choosing for inner peace?

Two modern day monks from New Zealand set off on an international journey to film a diverse range of people making this choice for a better life through meditation. The impact on their world is obvious. We are led along the path of the hero - the universal quest for inner freedom - the journey from suffering through to a highly effective and connected life, free from the internal chatter of the mind. Inner peace is not for a select few – it’s our natural way of being – we’ve just forgotten how to live that way.

With stories from many corners of the globe, ballet dancers and writers, stressed business people, a cancer patient, foster children and maximum-security prisoners; they show that peace is possible for individuals and for communities, so is peace possible for humanity?

Tickets - ?5 available in advance from Shakti Man, Ramsey and Celtic Gold, Peel.
