The Big Beat, proudly supported by PokerStars through their Helping Hands programme, has announced that the Island’s state of the art spine and posture correction clinic and wellness centre, Align 4 Life, will again be supporting the next Big Beat fundraising event.
The Big Beat, a marathon drumming event, returns to the Villa Marina Promenade Suite on 24th February 2017 and sees the group of 6 drummers, Andy James, Steve Leach, Noah Egelnick, Jonny Peacock, Ben O’Hare and Martin Rigby, playing in unison to music for over 50 hours raising funds for Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation.
Commenting on the partnership, Martin Rigby of The Big Beat said: “We are delighted to again be teaming up with Align 4 Life for the Big Beat 2017 which is very nearly upon us now. Neil and his fantastic team at Align 4 Life were invaluable at our first event in providing chiropractic treatment and support as the hours took their toll on our bodies, you can see their great work on “The Big Beat For Hospice – The Documentary” at www.facebook.com/BBFHDoc. We’re hoping that with this continued support we will be able to play for even longer this time in our efforts to raise funds for Craigs Heartstrong Foundation.”
Dr Neil Thompson from Align 4 Life stated: "It was an absolute pleasure to have been part of The Big Beat for Hospice and to have made a meaningful contribution in assisting the drummers complete their ambitious challenge in 2014. We very much look forward to doing likewise with The Big Beat's goal of improving on their existing record with this year's upcoming event in support of Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation. Our values at Align 4 Life are all about helping people to be the best that they can be, whether that be for an endurance drumming event or simply enabling a person to be a healthier, more functional, less stressed parent or office worker. Ultimately, we are all about getting people well and keeping them well so that they can pursue their ultimate purpose in life without the fear of a deteriorating health problem scuppering their ambitions. We wish the drummers all the very best and we will be there for them every beat of the way!"
Martin also stated: “During The Big Beat we have a number of playlists covering a wide range of music so there will be something for everyone whether you like Disco, Blues, Soul, Pop, Rock, Grunge or Dance songs, or even our specific artist playlists with music from Queen, The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Status Quo. We will publish our order of events shortly so check our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/TheBigBeatIOM, for all the news.
“We will also have our popular Big Beat t-shirts and mugs for sale and tickets for The Big Beat raffle will be available which will be drawn on the Sunday afternoon, so there will be something for everyone.
“With Align 4 Life’s support we’re in the right shape to get started with The Big Beat 2017 in February to play for even longer raising as much as we can for Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation.”
