Leading trust and corporate service provider Equiom has announced its support for the Equiom Isle of Man Junior Cycling Team, which consists of up to eight talented 16 – 18 year olds from the Island.
Managed by former professional cyclists Andrew Roche and Rob Holden, the Equiom Isle of Man Junior Cycling Team competes in some of the UK’s major cycling events including the Peter Buckley Series (National Junior Road Series) and additional stage races throughout the UK and Ireland. The team is also supported by local businesses Bikestyle and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.
Equiom has committed to a three year sponsorship deal with the team. Managing Director, Aidan Davin said: ‘The Isle of Man Cycling Association is a long established organisation dedicated to developing young riders on the Island. The riders within the team have an impressive track record and I am looking forward to supporting their development. At Equiom, we are driven by the same values of hard work and dedication that these riders demonstrate. We are proud to support local initiatives and I wish the team the best of luck in all their endeavours. With the sponsorship of the junior cycling team and the announcement of the 2017 HSBC National Road Race Championships taking place in the Isle of Man, it makes for a very exciting year for Equiom to be involved in cycling.’
The team’s first event will be the Cull and Sparrow Race on 5 March 2017 in Merseyside. For more information and regular updates on the Equiom Isle of Man Junior Cycling Team’s progress, follow the team on Twitter @IOMJnrCycling.
