Don’t be bored this half-term holiday – get on board with activities at the Family Library.

The Family Library has a wide selection of board games that are free to play with. On Tuesday (February 21), there will be a chess special from 2pm-3pm – although this is not for total beginners.

On Wednesday (February 22), there is a Make Your Own Board Game workshop, which is just ?2.50 to participate.

Throughout half-term week there will be the chance to take part in game craft at drop-in sessions. It is ?1 to take part.

Librarian in charge Mary Cousins said: ‘We are open as usual during the half-term holiday next week, so why not come down and join in some of the fun?’

The library, next to the children’s playground in Westmoreland Road, Douglas, is open from 10am-5pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 1.30pm-5pm on Thursdays and 10.30am to 4pm on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The Family Library operates as a charity and runs the Mobile Family Library and a Schools Service. To keep up to date on events and to find out more about the services available, check out the Family Library page on Facebook or visit www.familylibrary.im or call the library on 640650.
