by isleofman.com 23rd February 2017

Chief Minister Howard Quayle MHK has paid personal tribute to Steve Christian, the Island entrepreneur who has died suddenly.

As well as being the mastermind of the Isle of Man’s film industry, Mr Christian also served on the board of the Manx Electricity Authority, of which Mr Quayle was chairman in 2013/2014.

The Chief Minister said: ‘I am personally very saddened by the unexpected death of Steve Christian and my thoughts go out to his family.

‘I worked with him on the board of the Manx Electricity Authority and valued his sound business advice.’

‘Steve’s death is a huge loss to the Isle of Man community to which he made such a remarkable contribution, not least as a champion of the Island’s creative sector.

‘He had a superb business brain and he gave his time generously for the greater benefit of the Isle of Man. Steve was an outstanding Manxman.’
