by isleofman.com 28th February 2017

Police are seeking witnesses in relation to an assault between a male and female which occurred within the Summerhill Glen, Douglas at about 1pm on Saturday 18th February 2017.

The couple were at the bottom end of the glen nearest to the Summerhill entrance. It is believed a group of four people walked through the glen just prior to the assault.  If you were one of these people Police would urge you to come forward and speak with officers.  Police would like to reassure the public this was an isolated incident and the male and female were known to each other. A male has been arrested in relation to this assault but has been released on Police bail.

If anyone has any information they are asked to contact Detective Constable Emily Butler in the CID at Douglas Police Headquarters or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
