Safety Notice – Various B & Q Lights

by isleofman.com 28th February 2017

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is making the public aware of a safety notice which has been issued in relation to various B & Q lights.

The lights affected were offered for sale between February 2014 and February 2017.  They have a cast metal lamp shade ring identical to the one in the attached pictured.

The lamp shade ring may fracture in some circumstances and this could lead to the shade falling from the fitting.

The safety notice can be found at http://www.diy.com/customer-support/product-information/product-recall/.  It includes details of the models affected and what to do if you have purchased one of the lights.

If you do not have access to a computer, you can contact the OFT directly if you think that you may have purchased one of the lights affected.

The OFT has been advised that copies of the safety notice have been posted in the local B & Q store.
