Police are investigating a burglary that occurred shortly after 7am at the “Top Shop” in Pulrose this morning, 2nd March 2017.

In particular they are keen to speak with a male who was walking his dog near to the shop when this burglary occurred.

Detective Sergeant Bobby Syme of the CID said, "We know that a stolen black 4x4 vehicle was used to leave the area after the burglary but this has since been recovered by the Police. This vehicle was located shortly after on waste ground off Circular Road, Douglas which is accessed off a service lane that joins Hope Street and St Georges Street. Again I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this vehicle being driven or left in this area to get in touch with officers."
