Manx Bard to raise the roof for Rushen First Responders

by isleofman.com 8th March 2017

On Friday 31 March at 7pm, the Manx Bard, John ‘Dog’ Callister, will be performing poems and yarns along with a small but perfectly formed group of guests. Ticket price for the evening is just ?5, with all proceeds going to Rushen Emergency Ambulance First Responders. The venue is fully licensed and the bar will be open.

This not-to-be-missed event follows on from John Dog’s event at the Sailor’s Shelter in Peel in January, in conjunction with Isle of Architecture.

“This will be another great evening of Manx verse and tales,” said John Dog. “Last time we were celebrating an iconic building. This time we’re supporting a wonderful and vital local cause. I’m very much looking forward to sharing poetry and more with the audience in Port St Mary and to raising money for the valiant Rushen First Responders.”

Tickets are available from Port St Mary Golf Pavillion, or by calling 473217.
