Not only will the event fundraise for a fantastic cause, it will also be a celebration of a year-long charity partnership between the M&S Douglas store and Manx Cancer Help.
Julie Hodgen, M&S Douglas Store Manager said: “We are delighted to be organising this fundraising event to raise much needed funds for Manx Cancer Help and we’re hoping for a full house on Saturday April 8th. What a fantastic way to also celebrate one year of fundraising on behalf of the charity!”
Gareth Nicolson from Manx Cancer Help commented: “At Manx Cancer Help we recognise the impact that cancer can have not only on the individual, but also on loved ones, friends and family members. Whether it’s a patient who is diagnosed with cancer, a family member or friend of someone who has been diagnosed, we are here to help. We also provide support for those in a caring profession who work with cancer sufferers.
“As a small charity, it’s vital for us to have the support of companies like M&S so that we can raise as much money as possible to fund our projects and help those who need support during a life changing moment.
“Throughout the past year, we have been indebted to the staff at the M&S Douglas store as their support has enabled us to promote our Manx Fairies and book project, sell lottery tickets for our Lapland holiday trip, bag pack in the M&S Douglas store, as well as the wonderful M&S staff organising a very professional Bingo afternoon!
“Steph Joyce from M&S Douglas has superb connections with Manx musical acts and along with our loyal supporter Justin from ELS, who provides amazing quality sound and lighting, “Saturday Night Live” promises to be a great night’s entertainment. We hope that as many islanders as possible will come along and support us on 8th April.”
