Local Bank continues to recognise and support Manx cycling talent

by isleofman.com 10th March 2017

As the Islands only independent bank, Conister recognises its responsibility within the local community and is delighted to announce its support of two talented and committed Manx cyclists.

Well known and popular Footballer, Lee Gale has also proved himself to be a successful mountain bike competitor. Lee has recently been selected to represent the Island at this summer’s Island Games in Gotland as a member of the Isle of Man Mountain Bike Team and appreciating the huge sacrifices and commitment that he has shown, Conister Bank has been pleased to support Lee in his pursuit of an Island Games medal.

Also receiving support from Conister Bank is Tom Mazzone of Ramsey, who as a talented road cyclist is entering his third year of full-time racing, competing throughout Europe and continuing to prepare for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Tom has demonstrated huge drive and determination in both training and competition and with his positive and likeable personality will be a role model for many up and coming young Manx cyclists.

Head of Sales at Conister Bank, Andy Bass stated,  “Conister continues to support home-grown talent particularly in cycling as it has become an integral part of the Island’s community life on many different levels, and involving a wide variety of local residents. It gives all of our staff great pleasure to support two popular, talented and committed sportspeople such as Tom and Lee, who I am sure will both continue to be tremendous ambassadors for both the Isle of Man and cycling. We wish them both every success in the forthcoming year.”
