The University College Isle of Man is holding an Information Morning on Saturday 18th March and invites anyone interested in full or part-time study to come in to the Homefield Road campus for a chat. Staff from all departments will be on hand to discuss the many and varied courses on offer and to help school leavers, adult learners or those who want a change of direction, make informed decisions about their future.UCM’s Principal Jo Pretty, said,
‘The College’s 2017/18 full-time prospectus is now published. It details all the full-time courses available this coming academic year and is therefore a good place to start. However, often prospective students, or their parents, will want to talk about their plans in more depth and to consider options in relation to their career paths or HE study at UCM; the Information Morning is an ideal time to do that. We will also be able to provide information on our part-time courses for those who are interested in study alongside work.’As well as representatives from the different teaching departments, careers advisors and staff from the Department of Economic Development will be present to offer information, advice and guidance on the level and different types of support available for individuals and employers wishing to develop skills on Island. Members of the College’s Student Services team and the Student Association will also be on hand to advise on fees and funding, extra curricula activity at the College and welfare support.
Both the full-time 2017/18 prospectus and UCM’s HE prospectus can be found on the College’s website,
www.ucm.ac.im, or call 648200 to request paper copies. The Information Morning starts at 9.30am and finishes at 12.30pm and all are welcome.
