Prom resurfacing work completed

by isleofman.com 17th March 2017

Resurfacing work on the southern section of Douglas Promenade has been completed ahead of schedule and the road is now fully open to traffic.

Crews will return today (Friday 17th March 2017), subject to favourable weather, to finish marking the seaward side of the pedestrian crossing by the Villa Marina.

The crossing will remain out of use until this work is complete.

Road lining in the vicinity of the Villa Marina will also be finished today if conditions remain dry, while work will take place to reset two gullies in the disabled parking bay in front of the Gaiety Theatre.

Barriers, cones and traffic management signs will be removed over the weekend.

The Department of Infrastructure wishes to thank people for their patience and cooperation during the scheme.
