Fellow pilgrims are being sought for a 4-day walk along the new Triskelion Way. The Isle of Man's first pilgrimage trail, launched last September, runs 36 miles across the Island linking the historic centres of Rushen Abbey, Peel Cathedral and Maughold. The experience offers a chance to take time out for reflection, absorbing local heritage along the way: celtic keeills (early chapels), carved crosses and holy wells. The terrain varies from sheltered glen to scenic clifftop; from rugged moorland to dramatic waterfall.
The event takes place from Wednesday 3 to Saturday 6 May. Walkers are invited for the whole journey or just half a day - or anywhere in between. Overnight accommodation and food are provided along the way. No charge is made but donations are welcome.
