Firearms Certificate renewal deadline

by isleofman.com 29th March 2017

The date for licensed Firearms holders to have submitted their application form for renewal of their Firearms licences under the Triennial licensing is fast approaching.

Anyone who is an existing certificate holder and  submits their renewal application by Friday 31st March will be processed under the normal channels.  Their certificates will be delivered and they will not face prosecution.

However, anyone who submits an application after this date, or who fails to submit a renewal application, will be in unlawful possession of their Firearms.

As such they are required to take their weapons, before 1st April, to an authorised Firearms dealer and notify the Police of this, or take them directly to a Police station for surrender.  Failure to do so will leave them liable for prosecution.
