The Isle of Man Wealth and Fund Services Association has donated ?1,510 to support the vital work of The Children’s Centre.

The money was raised during a raffle at the Association’s annual dinner on 10 March.

The event was attended by guest speaker Alexis Conran, who delivered an engaging talk on hustling, con artists and security threats which businesses can face every day.

The Association was established in 1987 to act as a link between the Isle of Man Government, regulators and funds specialists to support the industry in the Island.

Association Chairman Andrew Harding, Partner in the Corporate department of leading law firm Appleby, said: “The annual dinner is a highlight of the Association’s calendar, and a wonderful opportunity for members to get together with other people from the Island’s business community.

“It is also a chance to help raise money for a local charity doing essential work here in the Isle of Man. I would like to thank our members for their generous donations during the raffle, which raised a substantial sum for The Children’s Centre to support the important services and projects it provides for young people and families across the Island.”
