Sale of Glen Truan Golf Links

by isleofman.com 4th April 2017

The Directors of Glen Truan Golf Links have announced agreement has been reached over the sale of Glen Truan, one of the Isle of Man’s 9 golf courses.

Developed in Bride on the Isle of Man, Glen Truan is situated on over 150 acres of land and offers stunning views of the Lake District and Scotland. The predominantly links course consists of eighteen holes, practice area and 260 yard driving range.

The course is situated in a stunning location adjacent to the Ayres Nature Reserve and includes two private fishing lakes, providing a peaceful haven for wildlife.

Richard Radcliffe, Director of Glen Truan said:

“We are delighted to have secured an agreement over the sale of Glen Truan.  We set out to secure a buyer who would develop Glen Truan, whilst respecting the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding area.

Our purchaser is one of the leading figures in the tourism and leisure industry and has a proven track record of developing golf courses and visitor accommodation in some of the world’s most stunning locations”.

The sale of Glen Truan will see significant inward investment to the visitor economy, local supply chain expenditure, employment creation and investment in marketing the Isle of Man as a visitor destination.

Glen Truan was marketed to an international audience by Chrystals, an Isle of Man based estate agency who secured interest from across the world.

Full details will be announced over coming months, although no further comment will be made at this time.
