Change for vehicular access to north of Noble’s Hospital estate

by isleofman.com 6th April 2017

The northernmost access to the Noble’s Hospital estate from Ballaoates Road is to be permanently closed with effect from 12 noon on Saturday 8 April.

The change follows the completion of Manannan Court, the Island’s new acute inpatient mental health facility, to ensure that the building’s outdoor spaces offer sufficient privacy for patients.

Access to Noble’s Hospital from Ballaoates Road will still be possible using the southern entrance.

As a result of the change to access, the route of the Bus Vannin Service 9 will alter, with the removal of the bus stop at Reayrt Noa.  Until the introduction of the new timetable, the Service 9 will instead operate from the Noble’s Hospital roundabout via the perimeter road (past Hospice Isle of Man) to the bus stop outside Grianagh Court and then via Strang crossroads to the main hospital entrance.
