Manx Wildlife Trust (MWT) is using the Island’s largest pleasure boat, the M.V. Karina, as a moving viewing gallery for an evening of wildlife watching on Friday 23 June 2017, meeting at 6.30pm for a 7pm departure from the Sea Terminal, Douglas.
The 2 hour trip will enable passengers to get a very different view of the Island’s coastline and rock formations as well as some of its wildlife including inquisitive Grey Seals, fluffy Black-backed gull chicks and Manx Shearwaters effortlessly skimming the water.
Binoculars and identification sheets and an informative commentary will ensure everyone learns a little more about the Isle of Man’s varied wildlife.
Home-made refreshments will be served by MWT volunteers and passengers are welcome to bring a bottle to enjoy along the way.
Manx Wildlife Trust CEO, Dr Tim Graham, said: “The M.V Karina is an ideal choice for a closer look at our Islands’ wonderful coastal scenery and as numbers on this special trip are limited, we’re sure that everyone will get a chance to see something new. All proceeds from the trip go towards our conservation work which benefits both people and wildlife.”
Tickets cost ?22 for adults, ?11 for under 16s and can be obtained by emailing cjbryan@manx.net or by downloading a booking form at www.manxwt.org.uk/whats-on. Warm clothing is recommended.
