Unemployment figures for April 2017

Figures have been released today regarding the Isle of Man's labour market.

There was a decrease in the number of unemployed by 249 person compared to April 2016 with a total of 462 registered unemployed.  305 of whom were male and 157 were female.  The registered unemployed figure this month is the lowest April figure since 2004.

97 person signed onto and 142 signed off the unemployment register during the month of April 2017.

There were 1,017 job vacancies notified to the Job Centre during the month with 734 remaining at the end of the month.  475 were full time and 259 were part time.
