Members sought for War Pensions Committee

by isleofman.com 19th May 2017

Public spirited individuals with a good understanding of the work of the Armed Forces are being sought to join the Isle of Man Government War Pensions Committee.

The Council of Ministers is currently inviting applications for members to serve on the organisation, which deals with a range of issues in relation to war pensions.

People who feel they have the necessary attributes and enthusiasm to take up one of these roles should visit www.gov.im/public-appointments for further information.

Appointees must be able to provide an ongoing commitment in terms of their time, interest and attention and demonstrate the qualities that underpin public life – selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.

The application process is fair, open and transparent, and appointments are made on merit, based on a person’s skills and experience.

Applications forms can be completed and submitted electronically via the webpage. Printed versions of the information pack and application form can be obtained from the Cabinet Office, Government Office, Bucks Road, Douglas, IM1 3PN, tel: 685711 or email publicappointments@gov.im.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 24 May.
