Leading specialist provider of hearing tests and high-quality hearing aid technology, Hidden Hearing, has appointed Sophie Oakley as Audiologist in its three Island-wide branches.
Sophie is a fully qualified Audiologist and is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council as well as being a member of BSHAA. Sophie also has a wealth of experience for the role after working within the public sector for many years.
Sophie said: ‘I am really excited about working with the team and have totally fallen in love with the Island. There is no better feeling than helping a person to improve their hearing and seeing the effect this has on their quality of life.
‘As a hearing care professional I believe that educating people about hearing health is really important and I am passionate about creating hearing awareness within the local community. There are still so many people who don’t realise that everyone over the age of 55 should have their hearing screened on an annual basis and absolutely support this by committing time out every month to carrying out these complimentary screenings.
‘I’m really looking forward to meeting new and existing customers on the Island and helping them get more from life with improved hearing.’
Outside of work Sophie enjoys many hobbies which promote health and well-being including hot yoga and dance.
Hidden Hearing operates from clinics in Douglas, Ramsey and Castletown. Island residents benefit from the convenience, knowledge and welcome provided by a local business, and the expertise and experience of a large company with multiple branches around the UK.
Sophie joins Hearing Care Assistant Suzanne Tucker, who has been a resident on the island since birth and provides the Hidden Hearing island team with wax removal services after qualifying in the latest wax removal technology last year.
Sophie and Suzanne offer free hearing tests, expert advice and treatment appointments, including Micro Suction, ear wax removal and fitting aids to improve quality of life, in Douglas, Ramsey and Castletown at Tracey Bell clinics in each town.
